This is a winning story because it has a rare background to it, is well developed, ad comes to a dramatic conclusion - which is rare in these parts of the fictional world.

Your own style tends to be more prolixic, is it? By all means, free it from established models, liberate your keyboard. I would love to know more of the arboretum, of the audience's reactions to the various segments of the duel, though I think the ending should not have a single word more.

I notice that Pagan was not your only inspiration. The end 19th century, or early 20th century erotic photograph you got must have helped you immensely. It needs detailed study. The caption of the photo is ?duel2?, is that a promise of at least one more coming our way? Please do not hold on to it. I was not of age to buy it when these offered to the passerby by the doorman of the Moulin Rouge in 1900 Paris.
